What Should I Do With It?
Metal bottle caps, such as those found on glass beer and soda bottles, are generally not accepted in curbside recycling programs. Because of their small size, these caps easily slip through the sorting screens of standard recycling machinery and end up as waste. Instead of throwing them in your curbside bin, the best way to recycle these caps is to collect them and take them to a dedicated scrap metal collection point.
Before throwing this away, see if it can be fixed up, given to a friend, or donated to a local thrift shop. Keeping items in use is the best way to stop waste before it starts!
