Small Plastic Bottle Caps

Plastics ✅ Standard Recycling

What Should I Do With It?

Small plastic caps are found on everything from milk jugs to ketchup bottles. Because of their size, loose caps easily fall through or jam sorting equipment at recycling facilities. While guidelines vary by location, many local processors do not accept these caps at all. To prevent machinery issues, remove all plastic caps from bottles, jugs, and jars before placing the containers in your curbside recycling.

💡 Helpful Tip

Before throwing this away, see if it can be fixed up, given to a friend, or donated to a local thrift shop. Keeping items in use is the best way to stop waste before it starts!
